The gift is in Jay's DNA; his brother is singer/producer Che Blaq, both of whom are a fixture in seattle's r&b scene. He cites all the right influences: Brian Mcknight, Sting, Chaka Kahn and Stevie Wonder – and yet easily separates himself from those teachers by having a sound and vision all his own.

Mr Jonze is originally from Watts California. In 1984 Mr Jonze moved to Seattle Washington. Mr Jonze discovered his passion for music at the age of 16. His first published work was released in 1999 on a song called Da Twist by G-Nutt. Mr Jonze recorded and released his first solo song called "Haters", which was placed on a Point Side Records compilation. His passion for music keeps him motivated.
